我們與台灣東部的漁民合作,將衛星標識器安置在魚叉上,如果順利的話,標識器將會記錄旗魚棲息環境的深度、溫度與移動軌跡。
該漁法對於漁業永續是非常健康的,鏢刺漁法僅能捕捉水表的魚類,如曼波魚、魟魚、鯊魚、鬼頭刀等中、大型魚種,而旗魚是主要的目標。太小或棲息較深的魚種皆無法獵捕,由於該漁法技術層次非常高,所以在台灣已漸走入黃昏。
