There is absolutely no reason to go dual or single core these days, so much processing bandwidth will go straight to trying to hold Windows 11 together at the seams. Forget about gaming.
Or you could just use Linux and run a Windows 11 VM under it, if you're wanting actual security, and to find out if this "upgrade" really is worth it, or if it's just another debacle like Windows 8.0.

If you enable ftpm, you might need to clear your CMOS first. Then reapply your old settings.

Thanks Anthony for the clearest explanation I have seen, on how to check for compatibility for Windows 11. Seconds after you said it, I was able to check and confirm that I am indeed good-to-go. Without getting into too much detail, I'm running an HP Envy 700-249, with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz – a 7 year old box. Still runs well, but does have the occasional senior moment, when faced with a need for Win 10 Drivers in a world built around Win 7.
Remember Snowden outing Windows 10 as spy tech. Windows 11 is just upgrading the NSA spy technology.

I used this video to install it on my Mac through bottcamp and it totally worked! I had to use the method of moving the install archive into the win10 iso to ensure the support software downloaded!
