In this video, I will talk through some advanced formatting techniques in legal drafting that I used during the PCLL programme. This video will explain how to format legal documents in a neat and efficient way.

In this channel, I want to share to all of you some tips of going through law school, and some of my interview, internship and other job experience.

Literally the first moment into their PCLL course when many of the students and tutor had first sight ever of each other in life, the students were told that the LLB academic honeymoon was over and they were into a new stage of professional mutation and development. The process has to be intensive and instantaneous. Growing up overnight is not good enough; it has to be learnt and acquired within a few minutes. And this was exactly what the tutor set out to do. Without any prior warning the students were paired and given 10 minutes to interview one another, and then to do a verbal presentation introducing their paired classmates in a manner as counsel or solicitor would stand in court to address the bench. The tutor gave them condensed briefing on articulation, support, voice projection and eye contact in speech and told the students that there was no time for panic and the 10 minutes were already counting down; “just get started, and you can do it.”
The result? This film speaks for itself. The tutor was very impressed at the first attempt of public speech with the students, which embodied different elements of being discreet, considerate, entertaining, informative and generally very well articulated and conducted. Even the ones confessing of stage fright did quite well. In time to come there is no doubt that they will all turn out to be up and coming solicitors and counsel to fortify the ranks of the legal profession. a Thomas Lai production, 2018.
