This is a test I wanted to do for myself, but I think it is interesting enough to go over with all of you! There are a lot of assumptions and probably details I overlooked but I think this gives a decent picture of how effective the proposed secondary changes will be.

  1. Yeah if their is one thing wows could use its a BETTER default Hud, cus alot of these mod sights i see in videos are just so much better, and im not even counting all the extra stuff they give you.

  2. I'm not sure why you think secondaries on console are actually better right now? We (console) literally have no any kind of control over secondary batteries. Max range on Bismarck with full secondary build is 11.5 km and on GK os 10.5.
    We do have this consumable EST (enhanced secondary targeting) that gives great accuracy boost but it only lasts 30 where you get sec and cooldown is 180sec and you can pack only 2 charges. But still, we cant control what secondary battery will target.
    If you are going to advocate anything for console, please be it that we get PC manual targeting option

  3. How it's a Nerf… Manual Secondaries was a 60% Overall dispersion buff pre commander rework. All you needed was to mark the target.
    It was nasty, but survivable as a DD, you just had to run for cover.

    Then they nerfed the hell out of Secondary accuracy when they "buffed" them after the rework.
    Overall putting things back slighly worse isnt a "buff" anymore than me giving you back the ice cream cone I stole after I took a bite and let it melt a bit…

But when you get the full 60% secondary buff, isn't it more than that, taking into account the 3rd slot with 20% secondary reload and 20% in reduced secondary accuracy, plus the signal flag that also reduces the secondary dispersion by 5%? That would mean that in total, your secondary dispersion is reduced by 85%?
    And this new commander skill means that the T5 Agincourt (which already has excellent secondaries) will see it become even more powerful? Fantastic news if so.

  5. I think there might be some errors in the penalty for swapping targets, I am trying to say it is actually stronger in the middle than you suggest. Skill gets hard baked 10% improvement to dispersion. (old was 35%) that 10% is always there just for having skill, but this is always active E.G. when ship first enters range, after 15 sec cooldown, after swapping ships etc. that is always there.

    "When the priority target is changed, the bonus to the accuracy on the new priority target from the activated effect is instantly bumped down to " Means that when you switch a ship you keep 75% of the 50% bonus, the flat base 10% bonus you always have so you only lose 12.5% (if at max 50% bonus already, otherwise it is 25% of what you have accumulated which will be a smaller penalty) for swapping ships unless previous ship dies.

    the degradation over the 15 sec will take you from a max possible buff of 60% down to the minimum buff of 10%. Cannot get lower than that hard baked minimum buff.

  6. They could use what we have on super battleships temporary buff icon on that new secondary auto-buff, and also for other temporary auto-buff. It shouldn't be that hard to implement that, right?

  7. I mean, it usually die before the second gun shots. no one follow you to push. that is hard for german bb player. When you already suffer a lot of damage and back for avoid fire or focus, then your teammates ask you why you stay back, why you don't push? Even I already used one heal, lmao. I love German bb, I played this game not long, but my first T10 is German bb.

  8. With the old secondary my German BBs chewed up DDs. In the new Secondary scheme, if the secondary batteries can disable torpedo tubes, every bit helps.

  9. Would be very helpful indeed if WG added indicators in battle of when these skills are active and what kind of buffs the ship is receiving at that moment….

  10. 'Free' damage when you've got worse main guns as a trade off. Let's talk about free damage when destroyers just float about with their eyes closed spamming torpedoes into every gap between islands then sailing away without ever seeing anyone. I'm looking very forward to this change and the new German battlecruisers.

    Can you give your opinion on the other skills? I personally think the fire skill for 4 points that buffs your reload, is good, and I have a reason for that, but then again, opinions aren't that well respected in respect to vid games in general, so eh, whatever. But it'd be nice to know what you thought of the rest

  12. I dusted off my odin and pommern in co op to get a feel for the fire arcs and turning again.

    I'll be doing the same on Massachusetts

    I really hope I can brawl again

  13. Honestly, Shikishima benefits a lot from this buff since she has a near bow in 2ndary angle so you can tank most shells while keeping the Harugumos strapped to her side constantly firing (assuming you don't expose her cheek)

  14. I actually valued Flamu's opinion a lot on the past, but recently he became so negatively about everything. Don't thunk that everything is perfect but it isn't that negstiv for sure. Like your approach to the changes and am equally excited about the secindary changes to come…

  15. Now they just need to add the secondary skills to cruisers so I can use this with my Siegfried. (Im actually kinda wondering if this is something theyre actually doing because I heard that napoli will have SAP secondaries and theyd be kinda useless right now so….who knows)

  16. Everyone raging about ambushing DDs being OP then.
    Y'all know, that if you're successfully ambushed by a DD, its your own inability and incompetence leading to this situation. So y'all are basically crying for an auto win button, just because you're bad, which they wont give you – luckily. If you and your team are unable to read a minimap, and lack the capability and gamesense of triangulating a rushing DD and pull of a intercept, you really deserve to get killed and send back to port.
    I know Flamu feels different, but maybe stop watching this psychopath who's literally littering your brain with toxicity.
