Windows 11, due out later this year, is full of new features, including a new Start menu that’s been moved to the center and a Microsoft Store with Android apps. In an exclusive interview, WSJ’s Joanna Stern spoke with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella about the software, the influence of the pandemic and his strategy of competing with Google and Apple. 1. Stability should be a bigger concern for Microsoft. Outlook is still unstable and is a Microsoft product. It is very slow often and does not manage person folders well (with regards to memory management). OneDrive often does not play well with Excel, Access, etc….. So much opportunity to fix problems with Microsoft products. Maybe Windows 11 will play better and more compatible with Microsoft products. Geee, I hope I am not the only one still using Microsoft products.

  2. Thats what i don’t like about windows and android. They’re always partnering up with so many different companies and now amazon is being brought into it. It’s so overwhelming and confusing. They end up abandoning partnerships after 2 years of it. With Apple, its so simple. One account for everything you do. One account to sign into your phone. One account with email. One account with music, one account for literally everything. It really sucks that computers from 2017 dont even get the windows 11 update. Apple supports their devices for almost a decade. I only use windows for gaming. Other than that, I love the apple ecosystem.

  3. Who is this interviewer? She seems so rude. She could at least smile. Sathya on the hand is so calm, smiling and answering her questions politely.

  4. I think he meant to say 'We realize Steve Jobs was right when he said we have no taste, that's why we've made another version of explorer.exe that makes your PC look like a Mac, and will confuse the be-jeezus out of all our users for years to come.'

  5. I love this philosophy of actively working against closing up an ecosystem and at the same time opening it to other OS's, devices and stuff like that
